Sejar and Tebinquiche Lagoons
At 20 km of San Pedro de Atacama at 2,600m above sea level and in the middle of the Atacama salt deposit, it finds the Sejar lagoon. This lagoon presents a higher floating level than the Dead Sea, due to its high concentration of salt and lithium. Besides, it's very attractive to see the color of the lagoon water. We continue our travel to the south of the salt deposit, where we'll find the Ojos del Salar, two fresh water pools in the middle of the desert. The legend says these pools were formed by two meteorites which fell down in the 40's.
After enjoy this amazing natural landscape we continue our trip until arrive to the Tebinquiche lagoon. This lagoon has the whitest salt of the San Pedro de Atacama. Here, we will enjoy the most beautiful sunset of the Atacama Desert and we'll have a Chilean very traditional drink "Pisco Sour" and an exquisite snack.
